What is SubSearch?
SubSearch is an advertising supported executable program that is usually installed without user consent or knowledge. SubSearch may display advertisements in various forms including Pop-up Ads, Pop-Under Ads, Button Links, Taskbar Bubbles, and/or other forms. SubSearch may cause a slow internet connection as well due to the increased usage of bandwidth. Replication is not common with SubSearch. It is highly recommended that you remove SubSearch. Most likely, SubSearch was bundled or integrated with a desired program. The EULA, or End User License Agreement of the desired program possibly stated that SubSearch would be installed and that SubSearch would display advertisements regularly. Other distribution tactics of SubSearch include browser vulnerabilities, deceptive Pop-up boxes designed to appear as legitimate Windows dialog boxes, and/or drive-by downloads.
