Quarantine

As it pertains to computer security, Quarantine is a process used by anti-Spyware solutions whereby Spyware or some other potential online threat is detected, blocked, rendered harmless, and stored in a secure location on a user's computer. The user can then be presented with the option to remove the potential threat from Quarantine and allow it or remove it from the computer.
