Pop-under Ad

(AKA: Popunder, Popunder Ad)

A variation on the Pop-up ad, the Pop-under Ad is a window that loads behind the Web page being viewed, only to be displayed when the user leaves the Web site. A Pop-under Ad is less intrusive than a Pop-up ad because it does not cover the window the user is attempting to view. This functionality makes it difficult for the user to determine which Web site spawned the ad.
