Denial of Service Attack


An assault on a network that deluges it with so many additional requests that legitimate traffic is slowed to a crawl or completely interrupted. Unlike a worm or a virus, a Denial of Service Attack does not cause damage to a database. SEE ALSO: Distributed Denial of Services Attack
